General Notes: In 1870 they lost all the buldings in the great fire that swept the western part of the county. They saved their lives by going into the river, probably driving their stock ahead of them. They put up a shack of sorts till a new log house could be build. This house and the barn built later are still standing. Noted events in his life were: • Corrrection: William Nash wefe's name, 11 Aug 2011. However, I have their son Philip's marriage record to Bridget Monaghan and it clearly lists his mother as Margaret Ahearn not Margaret Hickey. I also have a Baptismal Record for their second son James and once again his mother is listed as Margaret Ahearn. I also have Elizabeth Nash married to John O'Hara who I believe is related to your family along the lines? William married Margaret Ahearn. (Margaret Ahearn was born in 1827 in Tipperary, Ireland.)
