  General Notes:

According to his father's obituary, he was living in North Bay, ON, in 1924
He married Louise Ann Brennan and they were living in Englehart at the time that both their first two sons were born - they being Joseph Raymond and my father, Joseph Francis - known as Frank. He was born December 8 1915. My grandfather, as I was told, had a farm in the Englehart area. He then bought a house in North Bay on Worthington Street. He worked for the Ontario Northern Railway. He and my grandmother then had John Thomas, known as Jack, Joseph Arthur, known as Art, Elena Mary, Rita Ann and then Joseph Lawrence - known as Joe. My grandfather died Friday September 11, 1942 at the age of 54 of a massive heart attack. My grandmother died February 29, 1972 at nearly 90 years of age. She had had Parkinson's disease for some time. Jack died in North Bay in 1968 due to alcoholism. All of the children in that family were approximately 2 and half years apart - so with Elena being born in 1922 that would have Rita Ann being born around 1924 - and as stated previously she was a year and a half when she died - making that around 1926 - so whatever flu was making the rounds - it was that that killed her. Here's an interesting oddity - my father died the same day and age as his father - only he died Friday September the 11th 1970 - at the age of 54 of cardiac related disease. Weird, huh??

John married Louisa Ann Brennan, daughter of John Brennan and Rose Delima Perrier. (Louisa Ann Brennan was born on 12 Feb 1882 in Quyon, Quebec, Canada and died on 29 Feb 1972.)
