Joseph Francis (Frank) O'Hara

   Cause of his death was cardiac related disease.

My Dad's history was rather interesting in that he spent 6 years in the seminary - with plans to be a priest, however he left just prior to the ordination to the sub-diaconate and headed back to North Bay. He worked as a telegrapher all over northern Ontario until he went to work in the oil refineries in Sarnia. From there we went to Baton Rouge Louisiana - again in the oil refineries. He had wanted to go to the oil fields in Venezuela but despite his very dark hair and 'farmer's tan' - he was too fair in colouring and the doctor told him that there was no way he would survive so he came back to Canada and from there he went to work at Goodyear in Toronto - which was where he met my mother, who was working in an area building airplane fuselages. They were married in 1945 and I came along in 1946.

Died the same day and age as his father - only he died Friday September the 11th 1970 - at the age of 54 .

Joseph married Kathleen Theresa McGibbon, daughter of John McGibbon and Mary Margaret Moyer, on 3 Sep 1945 in Owen Sound, Ontario. (Kathleen Theresa McGibbon was born on 9 Jan 1922 in Formosa, Ontario, died on 14 Jun 2014 in Sudbury, Ontario and was buried in R. C. Cemetery, Ontario.)
