Resident of Ottawa all his life, John Going died at a local hospital at midnight Thursday following a lengthy illness. He was 76 years old.
He was a son of the late John Going and his wife, Ellen O'Hara. He attended St. Patrick's Church and was a member of the League of the Sacred Heart.
Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Kelly, three sons: Frank J., Thomas Gerald and Emmet S Going; three daughters, Mary, at home, Mrs. G E. Walllace and Mrs. Albert Montreuil, all of Ottawa; one brother, Philip, of Ottawa and two sisters, Mrs. T McSherry and Mrs. T. Brocker, all of Ottawa and nine grandchidren.
The funeral will be held on Monday morning from the Whelan Funeral Home, 515 Cooper Street at 7:45 A.M. to St. Patrick's Church for mass at eight o'clock. Burial wil be at South March cemetery.
John married Elizabeth Kelly, daughter of Thomas Kelly and Jane O'Leary. (Elizabeth Kelly was born in 1875 and died in 1962.)
