Patrick Casey

   Cause of his death was Hardening of the Arteries.

  General Notes:

Patrick emigrated from the Ottawa, Canada area to Aitkin, MN in 1874. He was employed by Col. W. Potter; Potter soon placed him in charge of the store in Grand Rapids. Patrick married Emma E. Killeen on June 26, 1882 in Fitzroy Harbour, Ontario and moved permanently to Aitkin.

When David Willard retired Mr. Potter offerd Casey Willard's interest in the business and it soon became known as Potter-Casey Co.

When he died in 1910, T.R. Foley said, "The Catholics of this community have Mr. Casey to thank for the beautiful church we have, more than any other man in the village."

Patrick married Elizabeth Emma Killeen, daughter of John Killeen and Margaret Fahy, on 26 Jun 1882 in Canada. (Elizabeth Emma Killeen was born on 31 Mar 1862 in March, Ontario, Canada and died on 7 Oct 1934 in Aitkin, Minnesota, USA.). The cause of her death was Heart Attack.
