  General Notes:

Patrick emigrated from the Ottawa, Canada area to Aitkin, MN in 1874. He was employed by Col. W. Potter; Potter soon placed him in charge of the store in Grand Rapids. Patrick married Emma E. Killeen on June 26, 1882 in Fitzroy Harbour, Ontario and moved permanently to Aitkin.

When David Willard retired Mr. Potter offerd Casey Willard's interest in the business and it soon became known as Potter-Casey Co.

When he died in 1910, T.R. Foley said, "The Catholics of this community have Mr. Casey to thank for the beautiful church we have, more than any other man in the village."
